Archeologists in Cyprus have discovered a 4,000 year old factory that made perfume from essences of laurel, cinnamon and myrtle mixed with olive oil. Before the complex was destroyed by an earthquake it was probably a major exporter, as evidenced by 500 gallon capacity storage jars found at the site.
