Argali

We produce organic extra virgin olive oil from olives of the Koroneiki variety. Our trees are perfectly adapted to the dry climate and rocky terrain. The fruits they produce are very small and they form very dense clusters on the branches. The origin of the Koroneiki cultivar dates back more than 5,000 years ago and the oil it produces is universally recognized as one of the best in the world.

The passion for Greece, where are the roots of our family, combined with a great attention to a healthy and natural diet, inspired us to buy, in the spring of 2004, an olive grove populated with 250 Koroneiki olive trees in Gargaliani (Peloponnese - Greece). Gargaliani is a small town in the west of Peloponnese, situated on a small rising that overlooks a vast valley of olives. This beautiful view of green olive groves contrasts with the deep blue of the sea, and in the background there is the picturesque island of Proti. Our trees are not watered, so the oil has a very peculiar taste, bitter and spicy are very well defined and balanced. Argali has a very high content of oleic acid and polyphenols, qualities that make the oil very useful in maintaining the well-being of the organism. Driven by the search for excellence rather than profit, our aim is to produce an oil of outstanding quality while respecting the environment. We therefore exclusively use natural production methods. In our olive grove no fertilizers, pesticides or weed killers are used whatsoever. Since 2007 we are certified BioHellas, the most important Inspection and Certification body for organic products in Greece.
