He is an expert in olive oil processing and sensory analysis. He is currently the panel leader of the University of California Cooperative Extension Olive Oil Research Taste Panel. Rates for consultation are based on duration of the project, location, and specified activities. Consulting services include: • Land feasibility study • Problem evaluation • Pruning efficiency training for lowering costs and increasing productivity • Pest control advice • Assist with organic certification • Organic/Ecological conversion from conventional production system • Crop and variety selection for specific sites • Irrigation system design • Legal depositions and expert testimony in US courts • Literature and Internet research • Field research • Design and establishment of orchards • Blending of olive oils for final marketable product • Evaluate olive oil processing facility efficiency and quality • Design olive oil processing and storage facilities • Marketing assistance for fresh or processed agricultural products • Economic analysis • Establish an IOC recognized olive oil taste panel • Teach educational courses and conduct field demonstrations |
