Here in Polixnitos, the important village of Lesvos with its 2800 population today, our company continues a century-long tradition olive oil production and extraction. Yiannis Ververis is the pioneer of a new effort, this time, by bringing together a group of environmentally sensitive olive cultivators following the strict rules of organic farming and sustainable growth to create a new olive press factory according to the latest international standards like HAACP/ISO which ensure the production of highest quality of olive oil. |

The “Kolovi” variety is to be found up to an altitude of 500 meters and its main feature is that flowering lasts 3 to 4 weeks, which in favorable conditions, ensures high fertilization rate.The “Adramytiani” variety was transplanted on the island from the opposite coast of Asia Minor covering about 1/5 of the total olive groves of Lesvos.Considered to be of moderate productivity, however, it has a distinctive delicate aroma and excellent flavor. |
