Grumpy Goats Farm produces extra virgin olive oil on a 20 acre farm at the mouth of Capay Valley in Yolo County. The inaugural harvest of Coratina oil in 2010 was certified extra virgin by COOC and awarded three gold medals in 2011 California competitions. In 2011 we added Picual and Pendolino oils. Each varietal is bottled separately. The late harvest Pendolino is a delicate fruity oil with some bitter and pungent notes to give it structure. The Picual olives yielded a green, grassy well rounded oil, and the Coratina oil is a robust oil with wheatgrass and apple flavors. |
